Cape May

I heard that Cape May is a nice place to visit for a couple days. My wife and I will be in Philly July 27 -29 and would like to go to the coast for July 29 - Aug. 1. We are looking for a nice B&B, near the ocean, and a quite place to celebrate our ten years of marriage. Place let me know what, if any suggestion you may have. Thanks!

We loved the Carrol Villa (one of the more moderately priced). Right up the street from the ocean. Our room was in the annex and had a glimpse of the ocean through lovely lace curtains. The breakfasts on the front porch are absolutely amazing - best we've ever had in a B&B.

It's about 2 hours to Cape May depending on when you leave. Best to leave very late Friday night, or very early Saturday morning, otherwise its a crawl to the shore.

As for B&B's, there's a ton of them in Cape May-but not cheap. Check out Cape May websites or travel guides. Cucina Rosa has great, reasonably priced Italian food. Get reservations. Also, check out Wildwood's boardwalk @ night. It's a honkytonk, but huge & a lot of fun. E-mail me for more info.

My husband and I love Cape May. When we were there last year we stayed in a B&B, Angel By the Sea - Absolutely beautiful wonderful breakfast and tea - Rooms overlooking the ocean with a little bit of a private section of the porch - We stayed in Room # 9 - it was lovely and so romantic. It is a pricey place - but well worth it for a special occasion. There is a restaurant close by called The Waters Edge - unbelievable food. There are many B&B and they are all beautiful - you can't go wrong for that special occasion. Enjoy.

I own a condo in Cape May that I rent out from http://www.vrbo.com. I'm booked until mid-September and have been for quite awhile. You need to make reservations now. Check out web site http://www.capemay.com. They have a listing of restaurants, hotels, B&Bs and a calendar of events.
