Cape Cod/Provincetown waterfront lodging

Can anyone suggest some good - upscale - places to stay in Provincetown? I am looking for something along the lines of Carpe Diem but with views of the water. I am familiar with Anchor Inn, Benchmark Inn, and Brass Key... are there others? Definitely want the "luxurious" feel inside and a balcony/deck with water views on the outside. Thanks!

The Land's End Inn is one of my favorites -- far west end, high atop a hill with spectacular views and luxurious but not pretentious accommodations. The Red Inn also has some rooms, right on the bay. Incredible views, right beside the water, and a delicious meal right next door.

Good luck!

Okay, if you want "a balcony/deck with water views" this is my favorite place in town. I had to do a search for it because you asked for "upscale" and "luxurious" and the previous owners had it decorated more cozy than luxury. But, the deck is absolutely killer. It's the best one I've ever seen in Ptown. Right on the water. Huge. The pics show more renovations/furnishings leaning more to luxury then before. The bathroom is small with just a shower. But this is truly my favorite place to stay almost anywhere.

It's across the street from Spiritus but amazingly there's no real problem with noise from Commercial St. It IS in the middle of everything but that deck is a world away. The stairs above at night are absolutely incredible. We stayed at other waterfront rentals and this was always our favorite - by far.

You may still want an inn instead of a rental but this one is a winner because of the deck and the location.

I recently checked out a room at the Red Inn for a future stay. It was very nice and had a deck on the water. Can also vouch for the Brass Key, but it has no water views.

Thanks for all of the suggestions... will check them out!

Red Inn is great for dinner, but I have heard the rooms are pretty basic...sort of old style cape...however they are right on the water!
