Cape Cod next week

Hello all:

I have read all the posts on the Cape. Most cover summertime stays. I have a bit of time between Christmas and New Year and want to take a short jaunt to the Cape. Never have been there!!

Looking for a nice clean place to stay, nothing fancy. Nice area that will have some resturants open this time of year

Want to explore nice walks and nice drives. I think the more rugged and windswept the better!

Any "Capers" (what do you call yourselves?) that can share some information

Thank you all.........Merry Christmas!

JOHN

The Fort Hill Bed and Breakfast in Eastham is the only lodging in the Cape Cod National Seashore. They are not the most inexpensive place to stay but still a great value since you get comfort, service, fireplace, space and a full breakfast....no extra tips or taxes. Ocean views right out the door with walks, birds, deer etc. right there on Fort Hill. Orleans is just 2 minutes away so there are several choices for restaurants.

BMW, I think you might like Provincetown this time of year.

There are several great open-year-round restaurants including two of my favorites: Napi's and Bubalas.

Some suggestions for places to stay: Provincetown Inn, The Boatslip, Sandcastle Resort.

There are some great places to explore by car and walking: Race Point Beach, Herring Cove Beach, MacMillan Wharf and the Dunes.

The center of town is quite pretty this time of year, with the Pilgrim Monument aglow with thousands of Holiday lights and is really captivating when viewed from across the harbor.

Hey Thank you for taking the time to post,

I will check out the rec's thanks

Before these posts, I was looking at the Sheraton 4 points in Eastham. They are offering a room and breakfast for $90/room for two. They claim to be right near the National Seashore.

Still looking at Thursday and Friday fot my short jaunt.

Thanks Yellowbird and Gene. I will keep searching till we leave tomorrow
tovarich: I think I will save MV for the next trip!
