cape cod, low tide beach, scenic train

1. Few years ago I was in Cape Cod and I went to a beach that had a low tide and it was just flat distances that one could walk on and on with very shallow water. It was all reddish pink and I just wonder which beach was it, and how can I find out about the tides ?

2. Did anyone take the scenic train in Cape Cod ?

Of course all the Cape's water, ocean, sound and bay, have tides, high and low. Maybe Nauset beach on the Atlantic? Or Skaket Beach on the Bay?

You were probably on the Bayside somewhere. It is very shallow at low tide in many places--look at Brewster--and you can walk far to get to the water. Just google tide chart and the location you're interested in, to get the high and low tides.

Haven't taken the scenic train, so can't help you there.

I have taken the scenic train as well as the dinner train. It's an enjoyable ride past cranberry bogs and areas one would not see by car.

we stayed in Brewster one year and they are famous for this low tide phenomenon. It goes a long way! but keep in mind the tide change, as you could find yourself in a pickle!!

Spent a week every summer all the time I was growing up in West Dennis (the Dennis on the bay side). The tide goes WAYYYY out and it's very flat, firm compacted sand, and perfect for long walks. There's a public beach off Dr. Bottero Road (can't remember the name of the beach).
