Cape Cod in Sept.
 

Wife and I are planning to enjoy Cape Cod for the first time in mid September.
Is parking at most public beaches free after Labor Day?
What about parking in most towns...parking meters, paid parking lots or lots of free parking?
One more question for year round residents...how's the weather typically in September?

Typically, the first week of September is the best week of summer.

went to Cape Cod a couple of years ago mid September and it was the perfect time to go since there were very few tourists, lots of parking, which we still had to pay but what a lovely place!
Stayed in Brewster at Oceans Edge resort..went to P-town and Truro..
Wife and I loved Cape Cod so much..great seafood too!
Weather was perfect and it was still warm to swim in the ocean.

Yes, beach parking is free most places in September, although not, I believe, at the National Seashore yet. Parking in most towns shouldn't be a problem, except for Provincetown, where it is always a problem.

Weather is usually pretty good. The water is the warmest of the year.

The Cape Cod National Seashore beaches charge for parking on weekends in September. Town beaches on the outer cape are free after Labor Day. The weather is very friendly with warm days and cooler nights. The days are getting shorter so plan to wear a sweater or light jacket at night.

We have gorgeous weather on the Cape in September. You've picked the best time to come because the summer people will be gone. For a special day, I recommend taking a morning ferry to Nantucket, have a late lunch/early dinner at the Summer House, and then take the ferry back and go for the best ice at the Four Seas in Centerville. Their are lots of cute antique shops along 6A.

Oops, I forgot that the Four Seas usually closes right after Labor Day.
