Can't take it anymore

I cannot believe all the folks that are using this site to post stupid political jokes (i.e., golf in fla) or political posts regarding the ongoing craziness. I have one question - DON'T YOU PEOPLE HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO??? If you need more of it turn on the t.v. or radio - this site is for people that want to get away from the everyday bull___. I cannot stand to listen to the news anymore and now it is interfering with the things in life where it has no place -
i.e,. travel sites, dinner tables (especially on holiday event)church groups, etc. etc. Keep it in its place. If you have to reply to this with a political argument/position - once again I question the lack of fulfillment you must have in your every day life.
So very tired:

Just bury your head in the sand a little deeper and it will all go away.

Dear So,

Please understand that the current election is among the most important political events to happen in the last 100 years (right up there with Nixon's resignation and Bill's impeachment), and some of us are glad to be witnessing something really important and special. If you don't care, fine. But to start a thread about something you say people shouldn't bother thinking about . . . well that's just kinda weird.

If your grandchildren have any questions about all of this many years from now, send them to me and I will fill them in.

Inconsiderate folks are everywhere on the planet. In the workplace, on the roads, here at Fodor's...best bet is to "grin and ignore" them. Those hoping for your attention and response in particular.

History and the rest of you--No one is disputing the historical significance of this election. I agree with So Very Tired, the political jokes and political posts do not belong on this site. This is not a DEBATE board! There are messageboards available to debate politics, msn, cnn, msnbc, aol etc. all have board devoted to the election. This is a TRAVEL SITE dedicated to travel not POLITICS. Please move your discussion to an appropriate forum and let the rest of us get back to Travel. Thank you.
