Cancellation charge for car rental from Orbitz?
 

I rented a car for what I thought was a great price on the Orbitz website and later found out that the car rental website was actually cheaper. I decided to cancel. I search all the "fine print" and could not find a cancellation fee. I wonder if I am going to be surprise on my VISA later this month. Do anyone have past experience with Orbitz?

Call Orbitz, tell them you're thinking of renting a car through their website, but can't find on the web how much is their cancellation fee.

Orbitz is not as organized or helpful as they may seem. If they make a mistake, they are not good at all at rectifying it. If I were you, I'd contact VISA right now, and report the possibility of a problem. If VISA pays Orbitz, you will have a much more difficult time cancelling the payment. With Orbitz, you simply cannot assume they will do the fair thing. Alert VISA right now and ask their advice.

call the rental car company with your conformation numbers you got from orbitz and cancel the car..I have done this ...when I found a better deal(with same company) with smarter living(.com)...told them I found a cheaper price and wanted to change it...just make sure you get a new conformation # and a cancelation # for the one you cancel(if they will give a one..some do and some don't)...travelzoo has good prices too...also print you conformation and take w/you..
