Cancel Disneyland Trip 11/7 ??
My family was to head for Disneyland next
Friday 11-7 for 4 days. I don't know how close the fires are to Anaheim. Is anyone local around there that can tell me the conditions in that area ?? Thanks for your help. |
They are not close at all. They are in the San Diego area which is about 1 - 1 1/2 hours south and also east of Anaheim. And then far north about 1 1/2 hours or more. It is anticipated those fires will be contained before then. We had a good day today in greater LA, the morning showers cleared the air quite a bit. No one can predict the future but if it was my plan, I would keep it unless there was a child with special health (lung) problems and then you should ask his doctor.

You'll be fine. The weather will be somewhat cooler than the blistering heat we had last weekend, so bring clothing that you can layer easily. Anaheim isn't anywhere near the fires, and we're getting light rain this weekend, which should clear out the smoke particulate pollution. Enjoy your stay here in CA!

I've experienced something similar a year ago going to Lake Tahoe, and there was fire with highways closed. I called the hotel, and they answered all my question: location of the fire, how close, how safe. I am glad I didn't cancel my trip.

Absolutely do not cancel. Enjoy your stay!

Rain today, so beautiful. Have a great time (and bring sweaters/jackets, it's now chilly here).

Thank you all for the encouragement. We
are now planning to go unless something new occurs. Thanks so much. |
