Canada New England

We will be cruising Canada New England coast on the Princess Ship Regal.
we stop in Newport,Boston,Portland, Saint John, and Halifax.
There are so many choices to see I was wondering if you could give me some advice on what not to miss.
There are 4 adults.
Thank you in advance for helping me.

Newport: 2 years ago we did two mansion tours - Beneath the Breakers and another mansion about the servants' quarters. Both were very interesting. We had done the fancy tours years ago but I liked these better.
Boston is a tough one. It really depends on your interests and how much time you have to spend. I would choose Kennedy Library but you might prefer Fenway park. The Duck Tour is fun but kind of gimmicky so I might prefer to do the Trolley Hop on off option to spend time in Boston at the places I liked best. Wandering around the North End can be fun. Quincy Market is a zoo.
Your cruise website says Bar Harbor not Portland. I would do things like the lobster boat with a small number of people and would probably not do anything that required riding on a bus.

Boston: walk the Freedom Trail. Download the National Park app for it. So much history is on this walk!l, including the North End.
Boston is such a small, walkable city. Take the Red Line T to JFK Library a little south of downtown.
