Can I just rent a regular car for Alaska - Denali and Kenai Peninsula?

One week in June. 4 adult-sized people and way too much luggage - I think the luggage is going to be the killer with car size.

Paved roads from Homer to Denali (and beyond) ... normal passenger car is fine.

Yes we did. As the other poster stated there are paved roads in both those areas.

Thanks. Now I can just shop size and price.

We were three adult women and luggage, driving around Alaska for a week last June, and we upgraded our rental Ford Focus to an Escape. Much more room, much better.
