Can anyone provide feedback on the Outrigger Wailiea and the Park Shore Waikiki?

Hi there,

I'm considering these two locations for my honeymoon in June/July, and I'm just wondering if anyone has any comments about these properties?

We are looking for hotels in the area of $150 USD per night, so if there are any other suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks
Caren

For about $900.00 you can rent a one bedroom condo at Grand Champions Villas or The Palms if you rent directly from the owners rather than thru a management company. (Both are in Wailea) Grand Champions is the smaller complex of the two. It has two swimming pools and two barbeque areas.

One thing about the Park Shore, it's at the end of Waikiki so you won't be surrounded by hotels, hotels, and more hotels at every turn. It's across from the beach and the zoo, and is just a stone's throw from Kapiolani Park. From there you can get to nice dining places like the Diamond Head Grill or Cafe Monsarrat....or discover little places on Kapahulu Avenue.

Ilikai also has not condo rentals. Call the front desk (Renaissance hotels group) and get there number for the hotel desk in Honolulu. Next ask them for the condo office. Again rentals range between 675 and 925 per week. You are on the beach here. Shhh! It is a good secret. Lived on Oahu for three years we always stayed here in summers.

The windward side of Oahu (Lanikai) is the most beautiful. If you are not looking to be right on the beach you can find very affordable accommodations for 2. It is less crowded and more pristine.

We Stayed at the outrigger Wailea for 8 days in March. We had the deluxe ocean front room. The hotel is much closer to the ocean than any of the other Wailea hotels. The rooms were spacious and nice, the views incredible. Our friends were next door at the Grand Wailea and actually had to walk 10 minutes to the beach in front of their hotel, since that hotel is so huge and set back. There is no beach directly in front of the Outrigger, however, because of its location, we walked only 4 minutes to the Grand wailea beach. The breakfast buffet is great. The other restaurants just ok for the price. But for location and value, the hotel is recommended! Feel free to email for anymore info!
