Camellia Grill

I was wondering if the Camellia Grill is as good as what I have been reading about? Also, I understand its literally right off the St. Charles Streetcar line too? Anyone have any comments. As usual, thank you!

New Orleans question?

HIGHLY overrated, in my opinion. Long lines to get in just so you can eat typical diner food.

Alright already! I'm dying of curiosity! Where is this place?

Tom forgot to mention that this place is in New Orleans.

I ate there and although the food was "good", i think this place, like many others in N.O., are augemented by the "experience." I was a solo diner and was made to feel very comfortable, getting into a little banter with my waiter (and was also given a section of a newspaper to read while i waited).

However, a request for an egg white omlette was denied (NO is not the place for healthy eating).

The place is right off the street car, and the street car ride was a nice way in the morning to see the homes in the Garden District.

I've also sent you a pic of Camellia Grill so you can see what the "ambience" is on the inside.

Camellia Grill is the bowling shoe of New Orleans restaurants. It's more about style than substance.

Yeah...you right!
