Camden to NYC non car transit

What are the options for travelling from Camden to NYC on a regular basis (say once or twice a month) using public transit?

How long does it take, how complicated is it? how much does it cost?

Thank you for your help.

Get to 30th Street Station in Philadephia. You could get to Philadelphia using PATCO ( http://www.drpa.org/patco/ ) or NewJerseyTransit's ( http://www.njtransit.com/ ) Atlantic City Line.

From there, take Amtrak ( www.amtrak.com ) to NYC, or if you wish to save money, take the SEPTA ( ) train to TrentonNJ, then change to the NJT (see above link) to get to NYC. Both NJT & Amtrak go to Penn Station.

Greyhound or NJT buses might be a better choice, but I don't know the routes nor schedules ... but you should be able to get info using the above links.

Just to add a bit of information to rb travler's, if you take the SEPTA and NJ Transit trains into The City, you can take PATCO from Camden, get off at 8th and Market Street Station and catch the SEPTA R7 Train at Market East Station to Trenton and transfer to the New Jersey Transit Northeast Corridor train into New York Penn Station. Roundtrip is about $30 versus $90 with Amtrak including AAA discount.
