Camden MARC station
We will arrive @ Camden Station in Baltimore app. 7:00pm. Our hotel is about 4 blocks away at the intersection of Lombard and Hopkins. I am unfamiliar with this area of Baltimore and wonder if it would be safe to walk to the hotel (feel silly taking a cab since it's only 4 blocks...but want to be safe). Any suggestions?

Without knowing your specific hotel, but knowing that this is a gradual uphill walk, if you have luggage, you should take a cab. It's not so much of a safety issue in this area, as it is just a longer than 4 NY blocks walk.

Camden station is located right near the Orioles stadium, in the downtown area. With light luggage, I would say it would not be an issue to walk to your hotel; you're not very far...maybe 10 minutes walk? I've walked many times in this area and don't think you would run into any trouble. BTW, if your train is delayed for any reason, your ticket is also valid on the trains to Baltimore's Penn Station ( a different line, from which you could easily get a cab to your hotel for maybe $6.

That area should be no problem at all. I suggest you walk north to Pratt Street, walk east on Pratt to Hopkins, then north 1 block to Lombard & Hopkins (are you at the Days Inn midblock?). I only suggest Pratt because it's the busier, wider street with more foot traffic, as you're right at the convention center. Check http://godowntownbaltimore.com/dashfaqs.html for info on the DASH bus for getting around for 50cents.

I will also expand on D Williams post. At Baltimore Penn Station, you could board the light rail for $1.35 and ride it to "Convention Center" stop, Howard & Pratt and walk from there.
