Cambria-Paso Robles Wineries
Looking for interesting wineries to visit around rte. 46 between Cambria and Paso Robles. Type of wine not important.

Check out the Summerwood Winery and Inn. It is a very upscale property with very good wine. I really liked their Merlot which we purchased when we visited last month. www.summerwoodwine.com Cheers! ***kim*** ((l))

I love Creston. Just about our favorite cabernet.

I friend of mine who lives in Santa Monica goes to Paso Robles frequently and loves going to Tobin James winery. She says it is a relaxed place w/very nice people running it, a nice tasting room w/ambience, and an impressive 1860s mahogany bar (pictured on their website). It is 8 miles east of Paso Robles on Rt 46 at Union Rd. She sends me a case of their red wines every year (for 7 years now) and it is fabulous - or as Mr. James would say "bodacious!" They are moderately priced also. Thier zin is to die for - if you can get it, as it sells out. Cab and merlot are great too.

I'll second the Tobin James suggestion, very fun place with great wine at reasonable prices. Always a lot of fun here. ***kim*** ((l))

I like Tobin James also but if you're coming from Cambria it's on the opposite side of 101. There are many wineries on or near 46 which would be closer to Cambria. Coming from that way I'd recommend some of the "Far Out" wineries such as Tablas Creek, Le Cuvier, Justin and Carmody McKnight.
