Calistoga Cottage
 

Has anyone ever rented Calistoga Cottage (www.calistogacottage.net)? It looks like a fantastic rental house for 2 couples. Just want to know if it's too good to be true. Is it reasonable to stay in Calistoga for a week with the plan to visit both Napa and Sonoma easily and frequently?

It looks pretty nice. You will be in close proximity to both Sonoma and Napa. Here is something to consider:the temps in Calistoga can get pretty high during the summer months. Is there AC? Do you care about that?
You can't beat the price for what you seem to be getting.

Great question, PamSF. I just raced to the website to check and it does have A/C. Would have been a huge disappointment if we'd gotten there and found none. Phew.

Getting close to making this reservation. Anyone been there or heard anything about it?

I hope to have time to provide a detailed trip report soon (Napa Sept 3-11). In the meantime, I just wanted to let everyone know that Calistoga Cottage turned out to be absolutely fabulous -- just as wonderful as the website makes it out to be. I highly recommend it for your next trip to wine country.
