California traffic question: Vegas to SanDiego
 

My plane lands in Vegas on a Thursday at 11:00 AM. I then plan to get my car and drive to San Diego immediatley. If my calculations are correct I plan to arrive around 5:00 PM. Is this correct? I am a litle worried about LA traffic, and was wondering if that would hold me up?

You don't go through LA to get to San Diego from Las Vegas. I think you should be just ahead of really busy traffic.

I know I don't go through "LA" but I do go through its busy suburbs.

Well, not really. You don't even go into Los Angeles county. You will go through the busy "Inland Empire" area, but I think you'll be OK.

yeah, no where near la. as you enter san diego around 5:00, most of the traffic will be going the opposite direction. depending where you are staying, shouldn't be a problem at all.
