Thank you all, I will put my daily plans in print in the next few days and i would appreciate your input then.

Looking for my travel gurus. We have finalized our travel itinerary and need your input as where to stay along the way. After we leave SanDiego, we need 1 night accommodations Oct. 27 near Hearst Castle[Cambria etc.]On the 28th one night near Montery.After 3 days in San Francisco, We are staying with friends at their vineyard in Hearldberg Nov.1st thru the 3rd. Then we will travel up the coast toward Eureka, so we need 1 night Nov.4 near the giant Redwoods. At this point, we are flexible as we don,t need to be in Seattle until Nov. 7th. Any suggestions for accomodations Nov. 5th and 6th would be appreciated. Any comments on a stay between the Cal/Oregon boarder and Astoria. We are good in Seattle but also need suggestions for Vancouver for the last three days of our trip. Whew !! I'm tired of driving already. Thanks in advance. Dennis

Close to CA/ OR border, Gold Beach comes to mind. I don't have any current info on a place to stay there though.
