CALIFORNIA - Hyatt Regency San Francisco
Hi,
Can anybody please help with parking close to this hotel for 5 nights . We are looking for safe ,cheap parking instead of hotel prices. |
There is no cheap parking in San Francisco. There are some outdoor lots south of the Hyatt (on the Embarcadero) that are cheaper than the Hyatt. Even the Embarcadero Center garages (at $32.50 per night) are cheaper (I'm assuming the Hyatt charges $40 or $50 a night?) Keep in mind that none of these other lots allow in-and-out privileges. The least expensive indoor garage around here (I work next door to the Hyatt in Four Embarcadero Center) is likely the Maritime Plaza building, just a couple of blocks from the Hyatt, but I'm not sure how much it is on a daily basis.

Do you really need a car every day? At an extra $250 it might make sense to just rent on a daily rate if eg you're going to Mill Valley.
|
No , we do not need the car but we are on a trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles by car and it will actually cost more in car rental to dump the car on arriving in SF and re-hiring a car 5 days later , so we are really just looking for somewhere to park it up for 5 days.

Park it at long term parking at either OAK or SFO and take BART into city and use Muni Passport for local bus, rail cable car and trolley. Seriously.
Or maybe the car rental company at either airport will let you park the car there for the 5 days [not turned in, just parkes] - a long shot, but, hey it doesn't cost to ask. |
Thank you DebitNM , an excellent idea , I will get in touch with the rental company.
