California city tours

I have friends who are retired. They will not rent a car and drive places when they reach a destination. It makes them very nervous. At any rate they want to see Calif. the main cities, San Diego, LA and San Francisco. Are there any tour groups that would offer a complete tour of the main cities. Thanks.

This is the only outfit I could find that offers tours including all three of those cities:

However, I have no experience with them, so you may want to run the company name past others on this board. Good luck!

I know that in San Francisco and L.A. you can get city tours. Can your friends get themselves to each city and then take a tour once they have arrived?.. or do they want a California tour? I would imagine each hotel they book could help them out. They really don't need a car in S.F. But they will be limited in what they see outside of the cities. Why not hire a car and driver?

If they are not able to get from one city to another, they may want to check out tour companies like Cosmos/Globus. http://www.globusandcosmos.com/united_states.htm. My parents used both in the 90's and had a lot of fun on the tours. There's another tour company whose name escapes me.

Yes they can get themselves to different airports. I think the globus is good, for them it at least covers several different cities. I think they will have to S.D separate. I keep telling them whatever they do not to miss San Diego. (It is, or was my home!!) It is a city not be missed!
