California Adventure: how long to spend in park?

Figuring we're not bringing kids and don't intend to go on every single ride, how many hours would it take to see the entire park?

There were only a few attractions that interested me; we spent 2/3 of the day at Disneyland and went on a few rides at CA Adventure. There is a ride about California that is really cool; can't remember what it is called...and the Tower of Terror is a blast!
Have fun!

Thanks. I'm trying to do both in one day (albeit a FULL day).

We haven't been to Disneyland in about 10 years, but I don't I'm figuring on maybe 10 am to 2:00 pm at Disneyland, then go to California Adventure till dinner time, then go back to Disneyland at night. Sound doable?

If the Aladdin show is still on at CA, get tickets for it as soon as you enter, CA. In my opinion, that show by itself is with the price of admission.

The ride about California is called "Soaring over California" and I love it. We took teenagers with us and we were all happy with about 6 hours in the park. You could do both parks if you prefer. It would be a long day for me, but still doable unless you want to ride on all rides.

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like the remodeling of the CA park will be going on full bore in September (closing the Lake area?). Too bad....I thought it was all through by now.

Looks the the Electric Light Parade is at CA! Hope that's still going when we get there!

Head over to California Advenure when it opens and hit Soaring Over California before the wait is too long. Then head over to The Tower Of Terror (very fun). The line should still be short. Outside of those two rides, and the roller coaster (if it is in operation at that time), I find California Adventure pretty boring.

We did an all-day pass for both parks and only spent a couple of hours at California Adventure (and that included lunch).
