I'm 4th generation Californian and Cali grates on my nerves. When abbreviating it it has always been So Cal or So Calif in writing.

I know how old this thread it but I'm glad to be able to say how I feel about "cali".

Guy Fieri says Cali all the time and bugs me every single time.
i'm from sacramento (not sacratomato) and we always refer to SF as "the city"

I'll never understand why some folks choose to let such insignificant issues upset them

The point is that this girl wants to be hip, cool, and using Cali is NOT the way to go !!
