Cal-Neva
 

Anyone have an update on the Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe? Last we heard, they had set a re-opening date of May 26th, now we're reading of loan problems with the developer and construction stopped last November? So at this point we're completely confused when or even if it will reopen.

Any info appreciated. It's one of our favorite places on the lake and we're hoping they can complete the project in time for summer.

I'm sorry, I have no information for you, but you've sparked a memory of 50 years ago when I worked a summer at the Nevada Lodge across the road and we hung out at the Cal-Neva where there was a chance of seeing celebrities. I'm back now, not so far from there, so if it reopens it may be the time for a walk down Memory Lane.

Oh, that's too bad. We'll be in Tahoe much of July and August and I was looking forward to the free music at Cal-Neva!

I was at Incline for several days last month and passed by the property a few times. Didn't drive down the hill but it looked far from ready to open.

Now that I think about it, maybe the Red Room isn't at Cal-Neva at all? (Crystal Bay Casino?)
