Cajunman swamp tours

Please can anyone give me some feedback on Ron Guidrys swamp tour near Houma. Has anyone done this AND Honey Island Tour near NO. Appreciate any thoughts on Swamp tours!!
Airboat vs flatboat vs ???.Thanks again. Really appreciated.

I cannot recall the tour group I went with -- they are everywhere!

But definitely prefer regular boat to an airboat. Much quieter, more peaceful ride, & the tour operator can talk to you as you go pointing out things. Whereas with the airboat, he has to stop the motor to be heard.

Don't know anything about Ron Guidry's tour but I highly recommend Dr. Wagner's Honey Island Tour. There's another company out there advertising "Honey Island" in the name but Dr. Wagner is the original.

I also prefer flatboat. Airboat is fun but you don't get the same experience.

I have taken the Honey Island Swamp Tour twice and was very pleased with it both times; I would highly recommend it. The guides were knowledgeable--one could spot a tree frog from 100 yds--and personable, and they use small, quiet flatboats. IMO, the airboats are a gimmick--they scare off all the wildlife, and you can't hear over the noise they make.
(Can't shed any light on whether this was Dr. Wagner's or not--I just checked, and my fridge magnet just says "Honey Island Swamp Tour"!)

Another vote for a flatboat over an airboat.
