Cab Fare in Vegas

Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for a cab from the airport to the area of Treasure Island hotel? Thanks.

Great post. I was wondering about this too for our trip next month. I checked the airport website and it gives costs for group shuttles but not for average cab ride.

I'm arriving ahead of DH so I'm not sure whether I should cab or shuttle it (Venetian-Palazzo).

We'll catch a cab back to the airport together.

Enjoy-la!

Should be around $15-$20

About $15 no tunnel!...took it just a while ago.

here's a good site to anwswer all you vegas cab questions:

We just returned. Cab fare to Bill's (Flamingo/Las Vegas Blvd) was $15.40. Return trip was $11.60. (There's a $3.XX fee leaving the airport.)

If the driver takes the tunnel, that will add about $5 to the fare.

Just ask the driver not to take the tunnel.

I think you can get a shuttle for less. Check it out before you go.

Thx a mint for all the replies, esp the tip about no tunnel. Looks like $15.

Since I will be travelling to the hotel by myself, any one have experience on which shuttle company is best? It looks like $6 one way. Since there seems to be about 5 companies that offer it, is it acceptable to ask the drivers how long before they will be departing for the Strip (i.e., I don't want to wait for 30 min for the shuttle to fill up)?

Also can we buy 24 hr Deuce passes from the drivers? If not, where do we get them?

Thx for any additional info on these.

Enjoy-la!

Yes you can pay $5 (but need exact change) to the Deuce drivers for the all day pass. It is a good way to get around the city reasonably.

re: Shuttles

I've never really noticed a diffence among the companies....all of them will wait until they are nearly full leaving the airport, that's not a big problem at McCarron Airport though.

The biggest problem is figuring out what stop you'll be on a particular shuttle, which depends on who you are riding with and what hotels they are staying at.

The shuttles are only $6, but plan on spending at least an hour to get to your hotel. It takes sooo long to drop all of the people off, open up the back, find their luggage, etc. Since the Venetian is at the northern end of the strip, it might take you longer than one hour.

I don't think we had a choice as to which shuttle company we took. You buy a ticket at the ground transportation booth and go out to the island and they put you in whichever shuttle is there at the time. They fill up pretty quickly.

A few tips about the Deuce bus. The pass is good for 24 hours, not just until the end of the day you buy it. EG: If you buy it at 11:30 in the morning, you can use it until 11:30 the next morning. Also be aware that there is this mesh covering over the windows (most likely to block heat and glare), which makes visibility poor. For the best views, sit on the top floor in the front seats.

Thx a mint for all the helpful info, KMartin286, milemarker0 and lvk!

With over an hour to the hotel, I might check out the shuttle and cab queue then decide. I'm arriving at 5 pm on a Thursday so the shuttles might be quite busy.

Enjoy-la!

I always mention to people that do not travel to Vegas alot....

Taxi's DO NOT take credit cards in Vegas!

The shuttles, however do.
