BWI to JW Marriott - what's the best way?

We're flying into BWI on 3/31, arriving about 9 a.m. We're staying at JW Marriott, don't want to pay $60 for cab all the way into town. Should we cab to a metro stop? If so, which one?
Thanks for the advice.

The Metro's own B30 Express bus from the BWI terminal to the Greenbelt Metro station runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week. You'll need 3 one-dollar bills.

Exact change not required in the subway as Metro's fare machines give change. You will each need a farecard to enter and exit the system.

Most Metro farecard machines also take credit and debit cards.

The only way i have gone from BWI to DC is by Amtrak-
Only reason for me was convenience- Shuttle out side baggage area took me right to Amtrak sta. few minutes later got on train (which had alcove for suitcase)
Later I learned other outfits would have been cheaper but because I travel alone I just stick with what works..
By the way the DC metro is a great way to get around the city.

Many people do prefer the train, either Amtrak itself or the DC commuter trains, but the latter don't run on weekends, none run as frequently as the B30, they cost more, and of course there's an extra step (shuttle from terminal to train) unless your destination is Union Station and you dno't plan to use the Metro.

The B30 buses are airport-shuttle type buses with sections for luggage.
