BWI airport questions
We'll be needing to park for 4 days. Trying to decide whether to do park and fly or use points at a Starwood property and pay for parking. So:
How are the lots at BWI? Any more/less of a nuisance than others?
Which hotel is likely to be most pleasant and quiet? (E.g. anyone know what the Westin is like?)
Thanks.

I fly out of BWI regularly and park in the cheapest, long term lot. A bus comes and picks you up bringing you right to your terminal. Just cushion your travel time with an additional 25 minutes or so. The buses run every 15 minutes I believe - so I always account for pick up time, stops along the way etc. But it is efficient and timely.

I, too, use BWI regularly but I never use the BWI lots. I use Econopark Express where the shuttles pick you up at your car immediately and carry your bags.

Preflight is also good but a little more expensive than Econopark Express.

We use Airport FastPark at BWI Airport. (In fact, I'm heading there in just a couple hours.) After you enter, their van will pick you up right away at your car and take you to the terminal. When you return, just go outside the terminal and one of their vans (which are continually circling) will pick you up and take you back to your car. The cost is $6.90 per day for the Blue Lot and $7.40 per day for the Red Lot, which is a bit closer to the terminal but is often full.
If you think that you will be using this lot more than once, it's well worthwhile to join their Frequent Parker program to get free days of parking.
Also, they give away free newspapers and bottles of water--just ask for them.

Many thanks for these 3 suggestions. I will look into each. I wish, of course, that there'd been some consensus, but not surprised that there's not. I get the sense that any of these options will be quite satisfactory. Does anyone happen to know which lot would be most convenient to the airport Westin? I think we'll be staying there night before the flight. We may even leave the car for 3 nights in their lot. It's $10 per day, a bit more than what posters have been quoting for the other lots.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I also use the blue lot....very efficent and like longhorn55 said, they give you water, newspaper and pick you right up as soon as you park your car. Just call the Westin and ask them how far it is. Maybe you can leave your car at the Westin and they will shuttle you to the airport.
