And WJ would symbolize what?
Woward Johnson?
Westin Jessex House?
There are at least 3 Washington Jeffersons.

What are the locations of the two hotels? I would pick the better location because you will not spend that much time in your hotel.

48th and 51st. both pretty close to each other so i am trying to get comments to see which one is nicer, cleaner, friendlier...etc.
Thanks

Bridgett, on the East or West side? A West side address could mean right in the middle of Times Square, near it, or close to the Hudson. An East side address could be close to shopping or in a more residential address.

Just writing 51st and 48th doesn't help at all.

ok let me start this over.
traveling to NYC 11/21-25. Best Western hotel 234 West 48th Street is offering a rate of $175/night. Washington Jefferson 318 West 51st is offering $169/night. Any comments on these hotels? Which is better. They are pretty close in location so I am look for the nicer, cleanier, friendlier, etc...place to stay OR any hotel comparable to location and rate.
I hope i have provided enough information this time.
Thanks

The WJ is in a good location and was renovated recently. Two people I know who have stayed there in the past year had different reactions. A friend who got a "standard twin" room felt it was so tiny (not so unusual in NYC) that he would not stay there again. My sister stayed by herself in a "queen" room and thought it was great. Had enough room to be comfortable (though not overly spacious), was nicely appointed and had a great mattress. She got a good deal directly from the hotel's website. Said she would stay there again.

That said, have you checked quikbook.com? They have the Best Western President (and many others) for your dates for a much better rate than you've listed in your message.

Thanks for the advice of quickbook...just booked with them at the Best Western President and saved $200.
