Busch Gardens?
We are heading to Florida next week and trying to decide if Busch Gardens is worth a visit. We are in our early 30's, travelling without children, and looking for a day trip away from the gulf beaches. We have heard that Busch Gardens can be fun and is a better choice than WDW because of the wildlife exhibits and the adult rides. We are trying to avoid the WDW scene but we want something fun...is BG a good choice?? Thanks

We've been to Florida 4 times & always visit BG. The combination of 'White Knuckle', water rides & animal exhibits is unbeatable in our opinion. We also consider the food to be better at Anheisur - Busch ( SP ? ) theme parks. Wouldn't go to FLA without visiting BG !

Hi Scout:
I enjoyed my adults only visit to Busch Gardens Tampa. I feel it is a bit more "real" than WDW. I admit I don't enjoy WDW. I've gone with and without kids and still would not go back. I would go back to BG. Have fun whatever you decide!

As you can tell from the current WDW thread, I'm NO fan of WDW. I do, however, like Busch Gardens. Really great rides. Make sure you have a healthy heart and sturdy back. The rides there are AWESOME.

We're late 30s, no children, and had a great time at Busch. "Montu" is a really fun, inverted rollercoaster. If you like rides, don't overlook the older, smaller coasters -- still fun and short lines.

Lunch at the German village place was about 100 times better than any other "attraction" food I've ever had.
We go to BG often and enjoy it. If you like rides, you might want to consider Universal's Islands of Adventure. Most of their rides are geared to older kids and adults.

Thank you everyone for your responses!
We are definitely going to spend a day at Busch Gardens and we are glad to hear it is better than WDW.

Just to endorse SAL's reccomendation of Islands of Adventure... If there were only two theme parks I could go to in Florida they would be BG & IOA !
