They're kinda apples and oranges, prslim. The Lowry Park Zoo is--how to put?--pretty much just a zoo. It's a good zoo. But Busch Gardens has enough to entertain you for the entire day, IMO, while the zoo wouldn't. You could combine the zoo with MOSI, as suggested on your other thread, for a full day's activities. There is also the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, on the other side of town from the zoo and MOSI and Busch Gardens, maybe a 15-20 minute drive.

We didn't do either, but along the same lines, we did do the Big Cat Rescue when we were there in March (one of these days I'll write my trip report). It was one of the highlights of our trip. The cats are kept in relatively small enclosures, and most are former pets, so they're completely comfortable being ogled (due to liability, you absolutely cannot touch them).
It's the closest I've ever been to a tiger (we were 3 feet away). You intellectually know they're big, but one of the males was the size of a cow!

Thanks for the feedback...my hesitation with Busch Garden is only 1 teen likes extreme rides. The other teen likes "medium" rides - it seems like the rides at BG were either for little kids or the extreme type.
Since we have just a long weekend - the split day with the science museum may be best.
