Bus from Storrs, Ct to Boston

I am hoping to find a bus service that goes directly from Storrs, Ct - UConn to Boston. Peter Pan goes into Hartford, change buses, then to Boston. Is anyone aware of a bus that goes directly to Boson. Thanks for any help.

I don't think there will be a direct bus route

If this is on behalf of a student, or someone affiliated with UConn, you should check with the school. There might be a student bus service of some kind (especially if its on a weekend).

According to this website, Peter Pan runs a bus from Storrs UConn to Boston. http://peterpanbus.com/tickets/

Click on Storrs, Click on Boston, click on your dates and the schedule and fares will appear.

Oops, sorry, hit submit too soon. As you say though, it stops in Hartford. However, they also run a bus to Providence, RI, and from there you can connect to Boston. The route is an hour faster -- 3 hours 20 minutes. Still too long, I guess.

You have just learned about one of the problems of rural universities.

A long time ago, back when $500 was real money, that's what it cost to fly from Boston to Ithaca. I decided I didnt need to go to that conference after all.

You also might check with the kids there. Some of them might let you share a ride to Boston for gas money. There are ride share notes posted on boards, Check with others on the driving record though.

And if this is for vacation travel, schools often run charters before and after vacation weeks. Just guessing also that this is for a student. Rural college transportation is a pain and expensive - especially for freshman when fewer of their friends have cars.

And if this is for Thanksgiving weekend, traffic is a major nightmare thru much of New England Friday before Thanksgiving and Tues/Wednesday before - and forget the Sunday after for getting anywhere efficiently. Plan that additional travel time into any equation.
