Bullhead City is essentially a bedroom community for Laughlin, NV on the other side of the Colorado River. Most residents who work (Lots of retirees also) do so at one of the casinos in Laughlin. It is also one of the hottest places in the country during the summer (115-120F is not uncommon). There really is nothing to see or do in BC per se, but if you are into watersports or enjoy casino gambling it can be enjoyable (Just don't expect Vegas, Laughlin caters to senior citizens). I'd also recommend staying in Laughlin as the accomodation is better (Try Harrah's or Golden Nugget). If you are interested in water sports but not casinos, IMO BC is not worth the trip. Lake Havasu City would be a better choice. While in the area be sure to check out Oatman, a cool ghost town just a short drive away. If you are there in Feb, Quartzite, AZ is worth a look if only to see what the RV version of a pilgrimage to Mecca looks like. If you have any more specific questions let me know. Have a good trip.

Do you HAVE to go there is that why? I think bedroom community is being kind. I drove through it when spent a nite in Laughlin on way to Phoenix. I think the simple description is a dumpy little town dropped into the middle of Death Valley.
Its across the river from Laughlin which is nothing but a street of hotel/casinos. You can get a nice room at Harrahs and others dirt cheap during the week especially. There is NOTHING to do or see there. Its HOT as hell in the summer and cold and crappy in the winter.

Hubby used to have to travel there for work a few weeks per year. All I can ask is why you want to be in Bullhead? Is a relative there or is it a pitstop to another location? It is not a master planned community, though one of hubby's old partners moved there and is very happy. The Laughlin side is like a mini, mini Las Vegas. But Bullhead is mostly areas of housing without much to do entertainment wise. As mentioned above, there is a very large retirement community. I used to stay for weekends and was always quite anxious to get out, but what is spooky for me can be an ideal and a happy place for others.
