can someone please take this outside?
Jason, did you pick a hotel?

sounds like it may be too dangerous in the Buckhead area to take this outside....

Well, at the moment I'd feel safer in Buckhead than in this thread.

At the moment, Buckhead is pretty quiet because traffic on Peachtree St. between West Paces and Pharr Rd (where ESPN Zone is) has been closed for the last 22 hours because a man is threatening to jump off a construction crane.

I read that, guess he is wanted for murdering a woman in Florida. I thought of this thread immediately when I was the news.

But I still think Buckhead is lovely. Stuff happens everywhere.

An elderly couple from GB were attacked in their hotel in SF Monday evening. The husband was stabbed several times but fortunatly not killed. They were exiting their room and saw a man hanging around in the corridor. They went back into their room but unfortuantly he pushed his way in yielding a knive and started slashing at the husband.

There is no where that is 100% safe. Not even our own homes. All we can do is take the proper precautions and then go about our life.

Why is it that Florida murderers have been coming to GA lately?

Several people have made valid points - crime can happen anywhere. Buckhead is as safe as it gets in Atlanta IMO - as long as you are not closing down the bars.

The Ritz is the depth of the mall from the JW Marriott. Walking distance from the MARTA station is a non-issue for the two. I like the JWM, but the Ritz is the Ritz!
