Bryn Mawr, Haverford lodging suggestions?
Need an inexpensive place to stay while visiting family. Any suggestions?
|
Synne,
I live near Bryn Mawr/Haverford. Will you have a car? What time of year do you plan to visit?
Could help if you could clarify 'inexpensive'.
|
I lived in Rosemont for almost 20 years but that was 15 years ago so I'm sure I'm out of date.

The nearest in my time was the St. David's Inn in St. Davids a bit more west. After that the standard culprits can be found in King of Prissia. I would love to hear that things have improved re: lodging on "The Main Line."

s.fowler,
Things move quite slowly on the Main Line...King of Prussia is still the mainstay for lodging.

Hi Elaine,
We'll be there for Thanksgiving and, yes, we plan to rent a car. Inexpensive is $75 or less, if that's possible. Thanks!

Synne,
Did some checking...try to access:
http://travelnow.com/hotels/entry.html
If you get to the site and it is all PA, type in King of Prussia...there are rates, toll free numbers and even 'availability'.
Here are a few others, all located in King of Prussia [which is not terribly far from Bryn Mawr]:
Best Western Inn (610) 265-4500
Hampton Inn - (610 962-8111
McIntosh Inn - (800) 444-2775

Since I live here, I really have not stayed in any of the properties.
Hope this helps.
