Brunch Suggestions-NO

I would like to end our trip with brunch on the Sunday morning that we leave NO. The group consists of me, my two girls (11 and 14) and possibly my mother. We are staying at Iberville Suites. I want something the girls will enjoy and remember. There are just so many options that I don't know which to pick. Please send your opinions this way. Thanks!

We're orginally from New Orleans, and have always been a big fan of Mr. B's. They typically have a dixieland/jazz trio and the food is outstanding. Might be a good choice with 11 and 14 year olds because it is pretty casual.

Second Mr. B's. Also try Palace Cafe for a good jazz brunch. For the memorable brunch experience, you could also go with Commander's Palace.

Mr. B's is a great place to eat, and though it's a little pricy it won't put you in the poorhouse like several others. I've never had brunch there, but all of my lunches and dinners there have been wonderful.

I've had brunch twice at Brennan's. Once was fabulous and once was ho-hum. I've read some very uneven reviews in the last two years.

My favorite brunch experience for a special occasion would be the multi-course jazz brunch at Commander's Palace. Call ahead before leaving for New Orleans and request a special table. That's what I did for our granddaughter's 13th birthday and we got seated what I think is called the Garden Room. It's got floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the courtyard, with a tree growing in the middle of the room. The a/c was nice to have, and we were there in November. I would think long and hard before choosing to eat in the outdoor courtyard most of the year. From the Iberville, just take the street car through the beginning of the Garden District.

We loved our jazz brunch at Arnaud's. Beautiful room and a great trio taking requests. One of our most memorable meals there.
cheers,
