Brunch Spots

Guys,

I have been given the following recommendations for brunch spots. Thoughts???

Zoe's
Five Points
Artisanal
City Bakery (18th off 5th)
Clinton Street Bakery

Balthazar is another good one.

I'm not much of a brunch person, but I can tell you that City Bakery isn't really a sit-down brunch meal unless they do something special during weekend brunch hours. (I've only been for breakfast during the week). You order at a counter. There's also an egg/oatmeal bar where they charge by the weight. I don't think it can be compared to a formal sit-down brunch at a place like Five Points or the like.

Clinton Street is excellent, just ate there 2 breakfasts in a row!

All are fine choices.

Pick a neighborhood first, then pick your brunch place.

this one is in Tribeca but it's all very close together down there- Landmarc

We had an excellent breakfast there and the thing I liked about it was that you can also order off of a "lunch" menu for those who don't want to be limited to eggs/traditional breakfast fare all day long (as is the case with most NYC places on the weekends, my extensive research found!)

AQUAGRILL. Get the salmon with falafel crust! FABULOUS.

Another place that I like that is low key and inexpensive is Le Zie in Chelsea.

Gotta go with Brasserie 8 1/2... the offering is amazing, and take a walk in Central Park after to burn off the calories!
