Brookside Cabins in Luray
My wife and I will be traveling through the Shenandoah valley in April and these cabins seem like a nice place to spend a couple of days. Has anyone stayed here or have any information on these cabins? Thanks

I haven't stayed over there but have passed by them many times and eaten in the restaurant on-site. Relative told me the cabins are very nice on the inside--as advertised--but to me the let down is that they are right on the road that leads from D.C./Skyline Drive into Luray. I mean, like 30 feet from the road. The restaurant on site is nice and old fashioned and homey and has good food, but if you're looking for a cabin experience close to nature, there are better options. Check out
http://www.mountain-lodging.com/virginia.htm for many other choices. Or search "Google: "cabins in Luray."

We stayed at Jordan Hollow Farm in Luray and liked it very much. It is a B&B, though, rather than cabins.

I agree with Susan. My husband and I have stayed at Jordon Hollow Farm Inn a couple times now and loved it. The dinner and breakfast are both SUPERB.
http://www.jordanhollow.com

While you're in Luray, be sure to take a tour of the caverns. They are really beautiful and fascinating; it's definitly a different world underground.
