Civic Opera House Parking and Lunch

We have tickets for a weekday matinee at the Civic Opera House and are looking for parking garage and lunch suggestions close by.
Thanks!

How far do you want to walk and what is your food budget? You can find parking with www.spothero.com or www.chicago.bestparking.com.

There are several restaurants on Wacker Drive within about three blocks of the Opera House. Greektown is a short walk or cab ride away. You can search by neighborhood or cuisine on www.chicagoreader.com or www.chicagomag.com.

I always struggle with restaurants by the Opera as they cater to a business lunch crowd. Not a lot of places on Wacker Drive. Maybe look at RIVERS or if there's an option in the French MArket at Ogilvie station (Saigon Sisters isn't bad). Actually, I love Pret a Manger... very casual, but that's nearby.

May be worthwhile to call the Lyric box office and ask. Also, I saw valet parking at the Lyric for $20... perhaps they offer a matinee valet option. (You'd want to ask if you can tack on a lunch beforehand, though.)

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, ChgoGal. Looks like there is Opera parking in the building Rivers is in also.
Thanks again!
