Broadway Tickets
Due to the recent plane crash, we've decided to cancel our New York trip. We have tickets to Cabaret for 11/29 that are "non-refundable". Does anyone have suggestions on how to get money back for these? Are the theaters and ticketing agencies holding to their no refund policies? Any advice would be greatly appreciated ...

Thanks,

Lisa

Lisa,
Go and enjoy the show. People are killed by all sorts of freak things everyday. People on the ground died from that plane crash too, so sitting in you house can be dangerous. Don't put life on hold. Go to NY and have a great time.

If you purchased these tickets thru ticketmaster there is a good chance they will refund your money. We had the same situation back in September, although we live 45 minutes away from NYC, our guest could not get into NY from Maine. I explained the situation to ticketmaster and they credited me back all but three doallrs.
I will add I was in the city for the first time on friday , it was a kinder gentler NYC but still as great if not greater.

I doubt they will refund your money, Lisa. September 11 was one thing. A single plane crash is another. They happen every few months with some regularity and even in today's crazy climate I suspect the airlines, hotels, theatres, etc. will pretty much stick to the rules which you agreed to as well when you bought the tickets.

How about e-bay??

If you had a reservation at a hotel, you might check with the concierge, if there is one. The concierge at my hotel in Manhattan told me that he could usually find takers for B'way tix.
