Broadway show tickets

Any suggestions about getting good tickets for Broadway shows. Also opera tix.
We won't be going for a few months.
My Mom has limited vision and needs to sit very close to the stage.
Thanks
;-)

Assuming you are asking about NYC:
The Met opera season ends May 8th
The NYC Opera season ends April 25th

When are you going precisely?

OOPS. Sorry yk.
We're going in September.

For really good closeup seats for popular shows, I suggest you decide now what you want to see and book as soon as possible with telecharge or ticketmaster letting them know you want to be up close and letting them help you pick your seats.

It's too early to order tickets for the opera. The NY City Opera usually opens its season in September. You might want to go to its website (www.nycopera.com)where you can probably email a question about the fall season. I don't think the Met season opens as early as Septmeber.

HowardR is right. The Met & NY City Opera don't even have their next season's schedule out yet (at least not on their website). I don't know NY City Opera too well, but as far as the Met is concerned, it will be difficult for you to get seats close up.

All the good seats at the Met go to their faithful subscribers. That process takes place over the summer time. Until all the subscribers have all gotten their seats, then the Met releases the left over seats to the general public. Also, the Met season usually doesn't start until late Sept. Just keep an eye on its website. It will provide more info on buying single tickets for next season in the next few months.
