Broadway Show Reccomendation

So Wicked is sold out. Next best thing for family of four with a 14 year old boy and 10 year old girl.

What about Lion King? I saw it last summer and I was amazed!

Also, Hairspray may be another option.

Phantom of the Opera is another possibility if you have not seen it. The effects are spectacular!

Have a look at this thread. Lots of suggestions here.

When are you coming?

I've seen most of the Broadway shows and for kids Beauty and the Beast is INCREDIBLE!! The special effects, costumes and songs are just beyond belief. I saw it with all adults and we were constantly saying "How did they do that???" The only problem is it's final day is the end of July. Hope you can see it before then. If not, Phantom would be my second choice. It is another one where you just marvel constantly at the effects. Kids would love it!
Forget Hairspray. I saw it last month and was pretty much bored the entire time. It was just too hokey for me. I think 2 smart little kids would feel the same way.

Kids will love Stomp...

With our kids ages 16, 14 and 11, we bought tickets to Legally Blonde and Hairspray. I'm still watching broadwaybox.com and theatermania.com for discounts to add one more show. I think everyone would like Drowsy Chaperone and Phantom but I can't seem to get anyone interested. The 16 year old does not want to see Phantom because he has friends who are obsessed with the show; but he has never seen a live production and I think everyone would like it.

Beauty and the Beast is just about to close, so if you are going to be here while it is still open I would say that would be a great bet.

Tarzan or Lion King would also be good bets.

Tarzan is closing July 8.

Blue Man Group is great-really fun for all ages. I have heard great things about the Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee (from a 14 year old). I've heard nothing but good things about the Lion King as well.

Note that Blue Man Group is often sold out and tickets thus sell at a premium.
