Broadway Show for teenage son

Could anyone help with a recommendation for a Broadway show that might suit my teenage son. He's a fairly sophisticated 16 yrs, likes comedy, special effects etc. Thanks

Spamalot and Avenue Q are obvious choices for comedy. Q can get a little racy. I enjoyed the whole show but my sister blushed through the whole "The Internet is for Porn" song.

Rent and Spring Awakening are sort of "coming of age" shows that he might enjoy.

I haven't seen or heard Young Frankenstein but it's Mel Brooks so it should be funny too.

I can't help you with the special effects aspect.

All 5 shows that I mentioned were sold at the TKTS booth last week.

Good luck!

I'd recommend Young Frankenstein in this instance. Spamalot would be a good second choice.

Wicked, Avenue Q and Spamelot are all good choices.

We really loved In the Heights. Great music and energy, young cast, wonderful dancing, wholesome story.

For a small show with lots of laughs, try Xanadu.
