Broadway Performance Schedule New Year's Day

Any shows open on New Year's Day? That's the only day we'll be in town, except for New Year's Eve and I suspect nothing is open that night. Thanks.

Some matinees. For example, Equus at 2pm.

Here are some other options for the night -

If I were in town, I'd be going to the NYEve Concert for Peace.

If you mean New Year's Eve when you say, "I suspect nothing is open that night," well, the opposite is true. Every show is open that night!

HowardR, are you saying that the Broadway shows are open on NYEve?

I don't think that's true. I doubled checked a few shows last night on Telecharge and couldn't find a single show playing at night. I think they are closed at the request of the police to help manage the Times Square ball drop crowds.

Thanks for the replies so far but I don't know where to look on Playbill.com. What am I missing?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! If true, then this is something new this year. Thanks for the update, starrs (not that I planned on that activity for New Year's Eve!).
I'm surprised, as that performance is a big moneymaker for the shows, since they charge higher (and very outrageous) prices!
Oh well, I bet a lot of the performers like the idea!

I'm a doofus.
I reread the OP.
You are asking about New Year's DAY - not Eve!

Go to playbill.com and pick a show that is of interest to you. Click on the "buy tickets". It will take you to Telecharge or Ticketmaster (depending on the show).

Plug in the date you are interested in and it will search for tickets that are available.

Sorry for not getting the "day" part right
