Broadway matinees-do stars do both evening/matinee on same day?

Do the stars of the shows play in both the matinee and evening performances on a weekend? Specifically, How to Succeed in Business with Daniel Radcliffe? Can we expect to see him and Laraquette in a matinee? I don't know how it normally works. Thanks

That's how it normally works.

Another, yes (except that Beau Bridges and Darren Criss will replace Larroquette and Radcliffe on January 3, 2012).

If you absolutely HAVE to see these people in the performance that is understandable. If not, look at the board IN the lobby before you have your tickets "torn" (scanned). If there are announced substitutes you can get a refund.

The refund process isn't quite as easy as that. You only get a refund on the ticket price if the star has billing above the title. If the "star" isn't billed above the title, then no refund.

But true Broadway stars almost always make their performances and finding the understudy performing without some advance notice that the star is scheduled for a vacation is rare. But people do get sick, and stars are only human, so this does happen from time to time.

Jan Maxwell was recently injured and missed several Follies performances. She said it was the first time she'd missed a scheduled performance in her career, and I believe that.
