Broadway for Beginner, help please

I would like to buy tickets to Book of Mormon for a Tuesday evening performance in November. Could one of the experts direct me on how to do this best? I would also love some suggestions on seat selection. Thank you very much.

Hi CMC, glad to see you are heading to NY!

As there are no "deals" for Book of Mormon, you might as well just go to Ticketmaster/Telecharge and see what they have. Prepare to pay a lot! Even through my deals at work, the tickets they are getting as group sales are running over $200 each. I was hoping the availability would increase this winter and the prices come down, but so far, no luck.

Good luck.

The best way to buy tickets for Book of Mormon this November is to go back in time and buy the tickets in April. I don't want to discourage you too much, but the ship has sailed. This show is sold out for the next 5 months. The only way you'll be able to see it in November is to buy scalper tickets, and I suspect this will cost you over $400 per ticket (I don't think $200 is remotely realistic). And for that price, you'll get some of the worst seats in the house. The next available block of decent tickets is in January. Those will be about $135 to $250 (i.e. full price). This show will not have discounts for at least a year.

You might want to see if there's something else that interests you.

Trust Doug's advice. It right on the mark....unfortunately for you!

You might try the box office once you get here for tickets turned into that can't be used.

Another option is www.stubhub.com and ebay. Scalpers are going to charge you alot, but if that is the show you want to see, be prepared to PAY.

Book of Mormon, won best at the Tony's this year so it means the show will be a sell out for quite a while.

You might try the websites for broadway www.broadwaybox.com, and www.tkts.com for info on shows up and sometimes discount tickets and codes.

You also might think about seeing Wicked, another great show.

acetickets.com, a Boston area scalping agency, has tickets ranging from $325 to $600. My guess is that will be par for the course, regardless of what agency you use.

One of the indesputable facts of life: You can always get tickets for any show if you're willing to pay the price.

I went to the Eugene O'Neil theatre event ticket sales and there are tickets available from $220-330 for the night I was interested in.
