Everyday draws huge crowds. Buyers from around the world come to this flea market. To determine if it is worth your while, would depend on how much of a collecter you are.

I have been to it 3 times in 10 years! Every time I go I say I do not want to go thru that again.....but I get the fever so:

It is vast. The fields have their own sponsers. Each field opens at different days. Some fields are better than others, depends on what you are looking for. The real crazies and dealers book their hotels and get to the "field de jour" very early. Its a mad dash for the first few hours as dealers race to every sellers booth. After that things settle in and it is a casual stroll thru some wonderful stuff! "Ones mans junk is......"

You have to see it at least once!

I've never actually been to the flea market but I grew up a couple towns away and I know it has INSANE traffic jams on the weekend.

I have been to Brimfield 4 or 5 times. I am a "collector" and find Brimfield has one of the widest varieties of collectables. It has reminded me of Balkville in upstate New York. It is worth the trip at least once. J&J's and Mays yard are very popular, but all the areas have interesting things to look at and who knows maybe there is a treasure just waiting for you :-)).

Yes, it is crowded. I usually go early and know a few backroads to get into downtown, so I don't wait tooooo long in the line up. Perhaps a local map may help you. Parking is available in many places for a small fee. I like to go on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sunday many vendors are tired and pack up early, so for all your trouble, you only have about a half of a day. Although, it is Sunday that you may possibly get your best deal.

Spring and Fall Brimfield have the nicest weather, not too hot. Summer can be hot, but not unbearable.

Enjoy.
