Bridal info for NYC
I will be getting married in October and I'm looking for bridal hair jewelry. I don't live in NYC, but could get there if someone knew of a place where I could buy something called a bun wrap for my hair on my wedding day. Anyone know of such a place?

Can you give an explaination of what a bun wrap is? There is a website that has all sorts of bridal hair pieces including the one I think that you are talking about - http://www.bridesroom.com/
There is an area in NYC around Lord & Taylor (in the 40's betw. 5th & 6th Avenues) that has alot of bridal supply materials, etc. You may want to try there.

Thanks, Irene for your response. A bun wrap encircles the hair on top of your head. In the 40's means what street specifically? I'm not familiar with NYC.

Melissa:

By "40's" she means 40th Street thru 49th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue.

Congratulations.

hi,

the area recommended already is indeed full of shops that sell either premade headpieces, the components to make them yourself, or that custom make them.

i had a tiara and three layer water-fall veil (finger tip length)made at a place called Paul's Veil and Net Corp. it was right by Lord and Taylors...don't know the exact address but certainly you can call 411 and get it.

anyway, it cost me $250, and it was literally exactly what i wanted, down to the fact that i picked out the exact porcelain roses i wanted on it. anything similar was pricing at about $1000 at the bridal shops where i shopped for dresses.

Paul's Veil and Net is at 28 W. 38th St - it is just off 5th Avenue
