Breakfast places in or near Honolulu?

Can anyone recommend some good breakfast places in or near Honolulu? Thanks!

Here are a couple we like. They aren't fancy, but both have a local feeling and good food:

Wailana Cafe at 1860 Ala Moana. Xlnt pancakes.
Eggs and Things, 1911 Kalakaua. A tradition. Gets really crowded.

There are so many other choices of course, depending on what you're looking for and the specific area.

Do you mean specific to downtown Honolulu? Or including Waikiki?

Thanks beatofhawaii_com!
I mean anywhere nearby. We have a rental car so getting around is not a problem...Thank you

There are several zip codes that comprise "Honolulu," including Waikiki. Do you need breakfast in Waikiki? Which end?

Wailana and Eggs n Things are a good start at one end. Here are some other spots to consider at the other end of Waikiki:
Tiki's Bar & Grill
Lulu's
Diamond Head Market & Grill

You can also get some ideas for your trip from my blog, including the KCC Farmer's Market for breakfast if you are there on a Saturday:

I asked because most visitors stay at hotels in Waikiki. That's pretty much a neighborhood unto itself. Going into downtown Honolulu (if you aren't already staying there) would be a bit inconvenient just to have breakfast.

In Waikiki... all the places along the beach with an ocean view are very nice. For more budget priced, try along Kuhio where you'll find $2.99 specials at a number of coffee shops. St. Germaine is a good bakery on that same street.

Duke's in Outrigger Waikiki

Shorebird in Outrigger Reef

Lots of restaurant info. You can sort by cuisine (including breakfast) or location:

In the western part of Waikiki, Keo's, and in the eastern part, Keoni, have $3.95 special that is very good, but several other great choices also

Shorebird is beachfront in the western part of Waikiki; get a dollar-off coupon in the free flyers on thestreet, or ask the cashier for a coupon.

Wailana is at the western end of Waikiki, and is open 24 hours, good for those mornings when you wake up at 4 a.m. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/sp...taurant?id=301

Lulu's is beachview at the eastern end of Waikiki; we had a great breakfast there www.luluswaikiki.com/

One of the things I love about visiting Waikiki is all the great breakfast choices...get up early, go for a swim, then have a late breakfast....doesn't get better than that!

For a little bit of a splurge, try Michel's or the Hau Tree Lanai.

There will be no shortage of breakfast places in Waikiki and I agree St. Germaine's is an awesome bakery - there may be two of them now? Be careful for the 2.99 specials. Last time it cost me about $15 each!! Aloha.

Hau Tree Lanai is right on the beach/ beautiful views - great place for breakfast in my opinion

Another vote for Lulus. Great view especially if you sit at the railing!

But my favourite place for breakfast in Waikiki is Hula Grill.

We usually head to Likelike Drive-Inn for breakfast, but couldn't find a parking space there Saturday.

What to do? What to do? Hau Tree Lanai, or...?

DH wisely realized we were already near Longhi's (Ala Moana Shopping Center) -- another of our favorite O`ahu breakfast spots, and usually not crowded in the a.m. Great breakfast (eggs benedict...yum!), complete with full-on views over Ala Moana Beach Park, to the ocean. A lovely way to start the day...!
