Breakfast near Atlanta airport

Have a 3 hour layover during breakfast time and am considering catching a taxi for some scrumptious Southern cuisine instead of hanging around the airport. Any suggestions out there? Thank you.

If you want a real Southern breakfast you can have one in the airport at Paschal's. The original Paschal's downtown was a hub for planning during the Civil Rights Movement. There's one in the atrium (outside security)and one on Concourse A.

If you want a scrumptious non-Southern breakfast try

at the airport.

I can't think of a place I'd leave the airport and grab a MARTA train for. Maybe Mary Mac's but they aren't open for breakfast.

Hi Starrs. Their website doesn't list a breakfast menu?

I don't know how current this is, but try this link.

Hi Beanweb; unfortunately, that menu is for catering.
Guess we're stuck at the airport; really wanted to go somewhere else.

i love the silver skillet heres link http://thesilverskillet.com/

youd have to take Marta, and walk to their site--orif you take a taxi, its maybe 15 minute ride.Been there forever, its a real time warp--youll run into a mix of Ga Tech profs and students, and an excellent old time southern breakfast

your welcome--i was thinking you may be bale to take Marta to 14th st,and grab a cab to the restaurant---i know where i live, cabs hang out at the Marta stops, but dont know about downtown--its a flat $25 from downtown to AP,which may make breakfast a little expensive--its not a long walk, maybe 15-20 minutes each way to Skillet--hope you enjoy and let us know how you liked it--bob

Thumbs Up Diner in East Point. Easy and fast to take Marta from airport, they serve breakfast all day, and they do vegetarian options. And the coffee is even good. Heads up: Cash only.
