Breakfast along the Strip
 

Are there any decent places to eat along the strip, between the Bellagio and the Venetian, that are not in hotels? I do not want to spend a fortune on breakfast and am not into buffets.

Is there a reason you don't want a hotel? You need to realize that hotels which have casinos make their money on the casinos and may have decent to good restaurants or coffee shops that will be better bargains and even cheaper than independent restaurants.

There is a Denny's at the Casino Royale which is near the Venetian. However, I agree with Patrick. The Bellagio Cafe has great food and you can sit at a table that overlooks their conservatory. That would be my first non buffet choice on the strip.

I agree with Patrick and Tudorprincess, in fact most of the casino cafes seem pretty good and very similiar prices to what you would normally pay for breakfast on vacation.

Forgot to mention that in October when we were in LV, a couple we traveled with were really into "cheapo vegas places" and hated the Denny's mentioned above. We weren't shocked as our local Dennys is bad anyway.

A meal at the Bellagio Cafe is pretty pricey for Breakfast. I think we paid about 45 for 2 with tip.
I like the Victorian Room at Barbary Coast and they have great prices and a good menu.Also Cafe Lago at Caesars palace is pretty good.

I know this is beyond the Bellagio/Venetian as requested but I'm gonna put my suggestion in for the Peppermill which is across from the Stardust. Vintage place, very 70ish. Good food, lots of it and great prices. A 3-pancake order overlaps the plate and bowl of oatmeal could feed a small family.

At the Flamingo, (again, I know you asked for non-hotels), we ate 2 mornings at Lindy's. Huge plate of food for $7.95 including a choice of meat, eggs, hash browns and toasts. All the food was fresh and quick, attentive service.

Now I've eaten at some terrific spots so this wasn't the first time I've left my kitchen, but I was such a fan of the Bellagio breakfast buffet that I just have to keep on recommending it. When you think about it, $12.95 (this is on weekdays--I wouldn't do it for the pricier weekend price) is an excellent value for what you're getting. My husband who never raves about food and avoids buffets like a bad John Tesh concert still can't stop talking about it. And most important, it's CLEAN.

Coffee shop inside the Barbary Coast hotel is good for breakfast, and even the coffee shop at Imperial Palace is more than acceptable.

Try Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville (spell?). Great food, good fun and not too pricey. Also, try Harrah's. They have a couple of restaurants that are good, but not too pricey. ALso, while there try their "Party Pit" which are table games where the dealers are all laid back and fun. They interact with the people and have great music playing.

Another vote for coffee shop inside Barbary Coast. We always go there for breakfast, great coffee bagels and really fresh muffins. No tables to sit at but we take our food over to the tables were big elvis plays and sit there to eat. It can be very smokey in Barbary coast
